At that time Xie Tingyue was a little child himself. Xie Tingxing on the other hand doesn’t remember anything yet. Xie Tingxing was practically brought up by Xie Tingyue.

In terms of status Xie Tingxing was a direct son, Xie Tingyue was just concubine born raised by the concubine wife. But Xie Tingyue has all the love and upbringing of his biological mother and aunt, while Xie Tingxing was a poor little brother who only has his older brother in his life.

Within a few years, Xie Liangbe brought Madam Lin, bringing in a son and a daughter, all Xie Liangbe biological children!

After Gan’s death… Lin came to Xie’s doorstep with his children.

Lin was very clever, instead of holding her children standing in front of the house and cursing she rented a yard and accidentally ‘encountered’ Xie Liangbe. And ‘appropriately’ let him discover a pair of son and daughter which she raised very well by herself. Showing that there was never a  climbing, just wishing to “get the king’s attention”, and you will be satisfied.

Xie Tingyue ranking lowered from first to second young master and has to deal with his stepmother every day; keeping his aunts dowry, protecting himself and Xie Tingxing’s life, but the result— failure.
