Count’s Syrup - Chapter 14
Chapter 14
A ring with a blue gem caught my eye. “I think this would be appropriate.”
He was blank and answered in a slightly languid voice. “Sophia, that ring is not worth a dowry, but it is more than enough for you to build a mansion and have two or three concubines.”
“Wow, that’s a very desirable plan for the future. I’ll be sure to implement it.”
“Sophia!”
When Sophia was about to turn around, satisfied with the future plans he had made for her, the Count urgently called her. “Wait, if you solve this right away and apologize, I might reconsider!”
“That might be revisited. It doesn’t mean forgiveness. What do you believe in and let go? It’s not that I don’t know the count’s personality, and I’m not stupid either.”
“You…!”
Sophia smiled refreshingly at him as he glared at her in anger and waved her hand.
“I’m quitting my job. Count Daniel Ulysses. I hope we never see each other again and live a long life. Bye then!”
After bidding goodbye, Sophia quickly ran out of the Count’s bedroom. The Count’s voice calling out to Sophia from behind was heard, but Sophia ignored it. She hurried to her room, packed her things, and fled from the count’s residence.
“Even if I think about it, what I did yesterday was really foolish.”
Surprising herself at what the tap had done, she walked down the street. The place she was walking was a secluded estate far away from the estate of Count Daniel Ulysses. It was a good place to arrive after sneaking out of the count’s castle at night, taking a carriage and arriving at another estate, changing carriages several times, and walking for a long time. Compared to the count’s estate, the scenery here was much less developed and less managed, but thanks to that, it was easy to enter.
“Hee hee, now I’m free.”
Roughly getting a room at a nearby inn, Sophia went out to see the streets. It’s not a very big street, but it wasn’t a bad place.
“Daniel must have a hard time finding me too, right?”
The title of Count Ulysses comes from Count. I became friends with Daniel before I knew it. Sophia sat in a cafe and ate cakes, taking in the scenery more worthy of her name because she was free. But she forgot. The Earl has the same personality, but the work is quick and perfect. And Sophia was captured the day after she escaped from the count’s residence. After sleeping at the inn she had roughly settled for, when she woke up, Sophia, surrounded by the Count’s knights, was dragged back to the Count’s residence. After a day of splendid outing, Sophia was now in the count’s office. In front of her was the Count, arms crossed, glaring at her. Sophia, who looked closely at his expression, opened her mouth.
“Committed a mortal sin. Spare me.”
“You have committed a mortal sin, and you ask me to spare you, isn’t it too ridiculous even if you don’t have a conscience, Sophia?”
