Count’s Syrup - Chapter 15
Chapter 15
“It was. Now she had no conscience even when she thought about it. She gave the Marquis Julius medicine, took his body during sleep, and when he woke up, she stole precious metals and ran away. Her crimes were so great that anyone would even hear about them.”
“Jim, bring it.”
“Yes, sir.”
As he instructed with a gesture, a knight standing next to the Count brought Sophia’s luggage bag.
“Find it.”
As soon as the instructions were given, the knight quickly rummaged through the luggage and found the ring that Sophia had stolen from the Count. The Count took the ring and put it on his finger.
Putting it on the lock, he once again held out his empty hand to the knight and said.
“Approximately.”
After rummaging through the luggage bag once more, the knight took out a bottle of medicine and handed it to the Count without difficulty.
“Good job everyone, now go.”
At that, the knights nodded and left the room. After confirming that everyone was gone, the Count put the bottle of medicine in his hand down on the table. Hearing the clicking of glass against wood, Sophia’s shoulders twitched slightly.
“Sophia.”
“…Yes, Count.”
“I am the Count again today? You’re not a child or a baby like yesterday. Anyone who sees you will know that you gave birth to me?”
“…..”
The Count laughed sarcastically, but Sophia was speechless.
“Wait, waiting here.”
He left without saying that. As he left, a knight came in and stood with his back to the door, watching Sophia. Sophia waited silently for him to return. After a while, the Count entered and walked with something. It was a different tea.
“I didn’t know what kind of tea you would like, so I tried the one I always drink.”
Having said that, the count poured tea into a teacup. Sophia was bewildered at this situation where she suddenly served tea to a sinner. Why the sudden train? Have you ever poisoned it? Won’t you die if you drink it? As many thoughts crossed my mind, the teacup was filled with tea. And reach for the vial on the little table.
“Is this the sleeping pill you gave me?”
“…That’s right.”
As Sophia answered, an uneasy thought suddenly passed through her mind. Upon receiving confirmation, the count smiled broadly and opened the medicine bottle and dropped a pill into the tea. The sleeping pill quickly disappeared in the hot tea. After finishing the preparation, the count pushed the saucer on which the teacup was placed and placed it in front of her.
“Drink it.”
“…yes?”
Bewildered, Sophia looked at him and asked again.
“If you drink, I will forgive you.”
“…….”
The count who met face to face had a funny expression saying he would die while looking down at her. The moment Sophia met his face, she had a premonition of what would happen if she drank this.
I’m sure he’ll get the same for what he did to him.
“……. ”
But there was no escape. Sophia, holding the cup with trembling hands, drank the tea the Count gave her. The Count, who had been watching her intently until the moment she set the glass down on the saucer, smiled contentedly at the sight of the empty glass.
“Good job.”
The count’s pleasant voice rang in my ears.
“I’ll forgive you. But, you’ll have to pay the price.”
After speaking, the count rose from his seat and approached her, taking care of herself right away.
An indescribably deep ordeal swept over her.
