Duke’s Exclusive Painter - Chapter 37
Chapter 37
His words that came out of nowhere were different from saying hello after a long absence. In fact, the two had not seen each other for a very long time. Roselia, who had stayed in his mansion during vacation, returned to the academy. Since then, they never met again. And so, it had been a year and a half later.
“How are you doing?”
Roselia was also busy preparing for her graduation, and Cedric was also busy working on his political affairs as a Duke. Meanwhile Roselia still sent him paintings and letters from time to time.
One that has changed though, before in the past, it was the postman who brought her paintings to the Duke’s residents, but now, it was James, the aide, who directly visits the academy and takes those paintings from her and brings them back to the mansion.
With a gentle smile, Cedric answered. “Okay.”
It was a friendly smile that I couldn’t find when he was looking at James just a moment ago. The moment I saw that smile with my eyes, my heart raced. Again, she was feeling like she was special. Roselia smiled awkwardly and averted her gaze.
“Do you have time? There is a place I wanted to go with you for a while.”
“Ah, yed. where are we going?”
Cedric glanced at Jame without answering. James gave the coachman the name of the street Roselia did know about.
At the same time, Roselia looked out far from the windows.
I looked at the academy that was slowly disappearing from my view. I don’t have very good memories staying at that place, but I felt like I was leaving a place that I loved.
Suddenly, Roselia realized the reason. It was because it was at the academy that she met her guardian, Cedric. Now that she realized that everything was connected to him one by one, even the smallest details, Roselia could only let out a deep sigh/
Before long, the fast-moving carriage stopped. Cedric got off first, then reached out his hand towards her.
Roselia swallowed her saliva in an unknown tension. The moment their hands touched carefully, Roselia unintentionally stumbled. She almost fell out of the carriage, fortunately, Cdedric held her firmly.
“You have to be careful.”
“Ah. yes…Thank you.”
His strong hand wrapped around her waist awkwardly. Roselia moved away from him as soon as her feet touched the ground. The accident of her falling accident didn’t happen, but her heart was pounding like she was on the verge of falling.
Cedric quickly checked to see if she was hurt somewhere, realizing that there was nothing wrong, he turned away first. After seeing his back, Roselia came back to her senses and lifted her head. A majestic building fielded her vision.
CEdric strode inside like he was the owner of this building. After hesitating for a moment, Roselia followed after him in a hurry. “Here is…”
“I plan to use this place as a public exhibition space.”
Cedric spoke softly to Roselia, who was busy looking around.
Even so, Roselia thought it was a pretty familiar structure. The exhibition hall in the academy also looked like this.
Roselia moved around with interest, when suddenly she noticed something and stopped.
The exhibition hall where the lamps were installed on the upper part of the groovin ‘light, shine brightly. And there was a familiar painting hanging there.
Roselia stared blankly at it, then continued moving with hopeful heart.
(If I’m not mistaken, this building should be the Financial Institution from chapter 1. The timeline of the story is slowly walking towards the present timeline. And so, we could now witness how our Duke and our Painter meet halfway. Both their hearts were still full of confusion, so…hehehe…let’s continue reading!)
