Private tutor - Chapter 2
Chapter 2
I worked hard to save money by wearing old clothes instead of buying new ones. But suddenly, I caught an infectious disease. That evening, my fever rose. I couldn’t eat anything, couldn’t drink water properly, and I was in a coma for three days. And on the fourth day, my condition worsened.
Just before I lost consciousness, I heard someone knocking on my door. Maybe it was the landlord asking me to pay the rent. That was my last memory. And now I was on a cart, going somewhere.
‘I’m cold and hungry… are you taking me to the hospital? But no, I can’t pay hospital bills’
In the meantime, while I was still worrying about hospital bills, ‘Oh, it stopped.’
The rattling wagon finally stopped. I could hear the sound of the murmur of people.
‘Something smells like it is burning… Where is this place? Isn’t this supposed to be a hospital?’
I wanted to see where this was, but I still could barely move the tip of my finger. ‘Why is my body so sti?’
I tried my best to open my eyes, but my eyelids barely moved.
‘Ouch!’
Suddenly, my body levitated upwards. Precisely, people were lifting me up. ‘What, what, what?! Where do you plan on taking me?!’
At that moment, Pia heard the voice of a man holding her.
“Are you almost done burning for today?”
“Yes? This lady is the last. If you would also burn this girl, then it’s over.”
‘What? you’re burning me? Why are you burning me?!” Pia’s mind flashed at the words of the man about burning her. ‘No! No! Why would you burn me?!’
I tried my best to fight, but my body couldn’t move. The smell of burning was getting closer and I could feel the heat.
“Ugh! Ugh, uh, uh!”
Moans leaked between her lips as she twisted her body with superhuman strength, not wanting to die.
“What, what?! Sa, you are still alive?!” “Alive?!”
I could tell the folks who were holding me up were surprised and perplexed. You shouldn’t be upset, of course! Instead, you should be shocked! What makes you believe you’re going to set someone on fire?!
“Put me down!”
“So, are you alive? Really?”
Pia’s body was put back on the cart. At that moment, Pia regained some strength and opened her eyes with diculty.
When I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw were two men who were frightened and startled. It was a familiar face. It was evidently the person who took relief supplies every week and distributed them at the mouth of the alley. And the other was a man from a job agency.
“Oh, lady, are you alive? ” “Are you really alive?” “Yes… yes… I… I’m alive.
“Not really? Your heart wasn’t beating”
“I found out you were dead, but it’s strange.”
“I’m not dead……”
No. Why do you insist on calling people who haven’t died dead? I’m not going to die! Have you ever seen a dead person with her eyes open?
“Really… I’m not dead… I’m alive…”
Gradually, my body relaxed and my words came out well. Soon Pia staggered and sat up. Still, the two men are two steps away from the cart, startled. It’s like looking at a ghost.
“I’m sorry, but my legs are not strong enough, can you drive me home?”
