Private tutor - Chapter 22
Chapter 22
There was no one who could tell me that it was difficult even if it was painful and difficult. There were more than once or two times where I wished that the teacher who happened to stay for a while was kind to me and that the teacher was so good that I wanted to take her with me when I left the orphanage.
The children of the orphanage gave affection easily after all. If you give them a little kindness, they will cling to you. But if you treat them harshly, they will abandon you, and will cry as if they had lost the whole world. Pia herself has memories of that. It was so I could understand Leon’s feelings now. “ What are you drawing right now, Leon?”
Pia peers into Leon’s drawing. I saw at first glance that it was this Depodil House. However, the surrounding landscape was different. This mansion is in the middle of a barren wasteland. There was a lump in the middle. However, the Depodil House in Leon’s painting was in the middle of a thick forest. “Here you go. Home.” “But there is no forest like this around the house.” “I wish there was a forest.” “yes. I wish it did too.” Maybe Leon didn’t know what was outside this mansion. If Henry Dale had taken this child out of the mansion, he would have known what was outside the mansion.
He didn’t know. So, like other mansions in fairy tales, he may have drawn this picture because he thought that there was a forest outside this mansion. ‘How good… I must have never seen a real forest…’ Pia is trying to keep tears from coming out and endured. “teacher.” “yes? Why?” “The teacher has seen the sea, yes?” “no. no. why? I want to see the sea, how about you?” “The sea is a big water. I want to go see it with you.” “Then shall we go together later?”
“I like it.” Leon smiled brightly. Then I picked up a colored pencil and began to draw the blue sea next to the lush forest of Depodil House. “You drawing the sea?” “Yeah. I wish there was an ocean by my house. Uhh so you don’t have to go far just to see it.” “yes. I hope so.” What is a child’s imagination? how pretty I wanted to keep protecting this pretty child. if only i could ***
“Does Dale eat alone today?” Pia, who ran into Lindsay walking up the stairs with lunch on the tray, asked casually. “The owner is unwell and it is difficult to get out of bed.” “Oh yeah.” Is that true? Is Henry Dale cheating on all his employees? Or is it the same with the employees? I don’t know that yet. I think Henry Dale is the culprit. But I still have no proof. There are no witnesses and no evidence, but the thing that worries me the most is that everyone already knows and is only keeping quiet about it.
