Private tutor - Chapter 40
Chapter 40
Pia ran down the stairs. However, when Pia left the mansion, the carriage had just left. A blizzard was raging outside, and the carriage was passing through the entrance of the mansion.
“Come back! Come back!” I screamed, but the carriage vanished from sight. Not a single person was seen walking around inside or outside the mansion. All the employees of the mansion disappeared. And the only one that was left was me. It was then that Pia remembered Leon.
She ran to his room but he was not inside. “Where are you?” Pia doesn’t believe Henry. That’s just an excuse for him to run away. Leon is not a monster. It can’t be. It was Henry and his servants who killed and buried the people. I feel like I’m going to get caught after committing a crime. Ran away afterwards and abandoned Leon. “Leon!” Pia, who ran into the study, found Leon sitting by the window of the study and hurriedly went over.
“Are you okay?” Leon’s complexion looked good. “Everyone is gone.” “Are you okay?” Right. Leon can’t be the monster. How could such a little pitiful child be the monster? “Everyone left me alone.” “I am here. I did not leave.” “There is only the teacher left. The teacher is also not leaving, right?” “Yes. I will be here.” With those words, Leon dug into Pia’s arms.
Pia closed her eyes as she hugged the small child in her arms tightly. ‘What should I do now?’ There was a blizzard outside and there was no carriage. He would have taken all the words with him. Even if you leave this mansion, there is no way to get to the town with this weather. This mansion was built alone in the wasteland. It takes two hours to get to the nearest inn by horse-drawn carriage, but it could have taken all day on foot. I couldn’t go that far in this blizzard. `It’s okay. There is still plenty to eat and firewood in the mansion. I can hold out until the snow stops.’
I could feel Leon whimpering and crying in my arms. ‘How terrifying… How scared is this abandoned child now. “It’s okay. I will always be by your side.” “You can’t go anywhere, teacher… “Pia nodded as she buried her face in the golden hair of the child holding him tight. She decided that no matter what happens, she’ll protect this child until the end.
All the employees of the mansion have left. However, as they had left in a hurry, the things in the mansion remained the same. The food in the storage room and the firewood in the barn were piled up, and above all, all the valuables in the mansion were still there. The decorations in the mansion were all expensive things. Pia entered Henry Dale’s private study, where she found his safe.
When I opened the door on the wall and entered, all the space inside was filled with an incredible amount of treasure piled up inside. Gold bars stacked up to the ceiling on one wall were filled with gold coins in each small box. And in the wooden chests were pearls and assorted jewels, and bank deposits.
