Winter Hunting - Chapter 22
Chapter 22
The man took the woman’s body within his embrace, he looked up and watched as the snow continued to thicken up.
A snow storm was coming soon.
The snow, which quickly became strong, obscured his view. In the woods where everything was covered in silvery white snow, the man drove his horse through the snow as if familiar with the situation. Soon after, the cottage used by the hunters appeared.
After getting off the horse, he hugged the woman and the woman fell down without strength in his arms. Looking at her, it’s as if he was dragging a dead body. There was no blood in the woman’s face. She was wandering in the woods for a long time, so he couldn’t feel any warmth from her body soaked in snow.
He lifted and hugged the woman and kicked the door with his feet. The log door opened with a “thump”, and the interior was revealed beyond it.
A fireplace filled with scarlet flames, a chair placed nearby, and a bed covered with animal fur. The inside was simple. Everywhere he walked, his boots made a clear mark. As soon as he stepped into the warm room, the snowflakes that fell on his clothes began to melt almost immediately.
From the top of the fireplace to the wall near the ceiling, all over the place was full of the dead beast heads. The hunting trophies stuck on each wall were shining as if they were going to come back alive and hit the wall.
The head of a stag with large and wide antlers stretching beautifully was as vivid as if it had erected antlers and rushing forward at any moment, and the cheeky head of a red bear was stuck on the wall with its expression aiming for prey. The fierce molars, which could be seen at a glance, glowed eerily by the stove light.
The man slowly laid the woman down on the bed in front of the fireplace.
(Warning, mention of blood and gory description)
He stretched his hand behind his neck and took off his full drenched clothes all at once. The scarlet light shimmer over his firm shoulders and chest. Then he slowly turned to the woman.
The woman’s face was even paler. He could see the snow melting and dripping from her body in the fireplace light. Seeing the blood stained and drenched cloak, he immediately removed her clothes.
Thruk.
The cloak was removed, and the winter coat and skirt worn inside appeared. He also took off her diagonal bag and threw it on the floor. Tuk, it sounded quite heavy even though he didn’t know what was inside. It was heavy after being drenched. Whenever he took off her clothes, one by one, the sound of it rang out inside the hut.
With only underwear woven from wool, the woman’s body is much thinner than it looks. Then he reached out, grabbed the thin cloth, and pulled it.
The clothes were torn easily. When the piece of cloth stuck in the blood was removed, the affected area was clearly revealed.
Right below the shin, he saw a spot where the bullet passed through and her flesh was torn off. The wound itself was not deep, but the wound was open and bleeding continuously because of the constant walking. He wrapped up the torn wound with his torn clothes, and pressed it down.
After the relatively minor wound was tied, this time the messy ankle caught his eye. The sharp teeth of the deeply interlocked trap squeezed and pressed the flesh, causing the flesh to be deeply dent. The trap that held the slender ankle was set to catch the bear. The trap, made of strong iron, was strong enough to break bones. But fortunately, the wound wasn’t deep enough to see the bones. If it hadn’t been for the pieces of wood that were interlocked together, the ankle would have been broken.
So, should he say that she was lucky? There was a small smile on the side of the man’s mouth.
