1999th bride - Chapter 1
Chapter 1
Dear diary.
Today, he emptied the dishes I made.I can’t tell you how happy I was to find washed bowl in the morning.
I think it’s a good sign that we’re getting closer.
Of course we are still awkward with each other and he is still blunt as always.
I’ve never seen it.
Our relationship hasn’t improved much so I can’t say that we are a proper couple. We haven’t even held hands yet.
There is a difficulty.
But diary, I’m running out of ideas. I’m just glad I wasn’t kicked out within these 14 days of our marriage.
Today, I want to have a conversation with him.
can I ?
Your true friend, Melissa Rothtain.]
square square.
After writing in her diary letting the fountain pen leave trails of dark ink marks, Melissa opened her diary fully and placed it under the sun for the ink to dry.
Today is windy, making the smell of peach blossoms flow in through the open window. I couldn’t help but feel good.
“Yes.”
Melissa stretched out and rubbed her shoulders. Yesterday, she minced some meat while making meat pie, which made her muscles sore.
Still, she was proud to see that her husband ate well so she was thinking about what to make today.
‘I don’t know what he doesn’t like because no matter what I make, nothing seems to be left behind.’
Ever since Melissa was born, she had never woken up early so it is very difficult for her to suddenly change her sleeping pattern just because she got married.
If anyone asks, the time Melissa would wake up didn’t
match her husband’s as he would get up at the crack of dawn and go out.
Even though Melissa would wait for her husband to come home, she would always leave the front door open after 11pm for the past two weeks.
Melissa would always wait in the parlour even though she would often feel tired and fall asleep first and when she wakes up her husband will be gone again.
Of course, her husband did not force her to wake up early and see him off or ask her to make breakfast for him.
It’s just that her husband isn’t interested in her. Making something to eat the night before and placing it on the table was perhaps something that Melissa thought of on the 7th day of their wedding. She tried to make some contact with her husband. Fortunately, it seems to be working without problems so far.
“Let’s cheer up! OK!”
Truthfully, this marriage was much better than she had expected, it was beyond her expectations. She had a lot of time to be alone so she was able to try things that she wanted to before but could not. No one intervenes, No one interferes.
Looking at the mirror, Melissa clenched her fists.
She has a secret. It is that Melissa doesn’t have anything that could disappoint her husband as they were married without love.
