Amoral Heir - Chapter 10
Chapter 10
He raised his hand eagerly. After that, he raised his black index finger and pressed it against her thin lips. Like a ‘shhh’. Then thunder struck. As if it was about to destroy heaven and earth, intensely.

Present time.
After returning from the graveyard behind the church, Claudia entered the house of the Werner with a bit of haste.
“Are you back, lady?”
The attendants, who were busily crossing the hall, kitchen, and dining room, saw Claudia and started walking, probably in the midst of preparing dinner, stopped and bowed deeply.
But she was dumbfounded by the reception of their greetings. Originally, she boasted of pearly white skin, but today she looked especially white. They don’t know if it’s because of the all- black outfit, or if it’s because of psychological factors, but it’s so white that it even looks pale. With a stiff expression on her face, she asked in a slightly ferocious tone.
“Where is Douglas?”
“He is in the study.”
As soon as the attendant finished speaking, Claudia took a step forward and unexpectedly went up to the second floor at such a high speed She suddenly opened the door to the study. Douglas was sitting at a desk in the farthest corner of the study. But it didn’t seem like he was working. It was because of the black ink dripping from the tip of the quill. Douglas was dripping onto the paper, leaving unsightly traces. Claudia was already in front of the desk in one step.
“Mr. Douglas!”
“Looks like you didn’t knock, Claudia.”
Douglas frowned slightly and put down the quill.
She bowed his head and apologized.
“Please forgive my rudeness. I have something urgent to ask.”
“You must have been very curious. Judging from the fact that you couldn’t wait until dinner time to come here. however…….”
Then Douglas stretched out his horse’s tail and scanned Claudia’s outfit up and down in front of him.
“Claudia. Why are you dressed like that? Are you on your way home from an outing?”
Douglas’s gaze turned to Claudia’s. She reached for the cloak that was wrapped around her shoulders. She regretted it inwardly. It was because she belatedly remembered that she had secretly followed Douglas.
“No. That’s not what’s important now.”
Claudia bit her lip once and replied with a determined expression.
“Visit the cemetery where Cassius was buried. This is why.”
The moment she answered, Douglas’s brows narrowed so closely that their eyebrows met.
“What?”
“I would like to ask you directly. Is Cassius dead? Was it his body in the cart that arrived in the back of the kitchen last night?”
At that moment, Douglas took a short breath, turned to Claudia, she did not miss the agitation that floated on his face like a haze for an instant.
“Close the door.”
Douglas said sharply to the butler, who had followed Claudia into the study. After that, he pretended to relax. He let go of the quill and slowly leaned back on the back of the chair, deliberately faking a weak voice.
“Claudia. I don’t even know what you’re talking about.”
“Mr. Douglas!”
Claudia, who was indignant at Douglas’ attitude of constantly turning around, raised her voice involuntarily.
