Amoral Heir - Chapter 29
Chapter 29
Claudia calmly raised her free hand and traced the window sill as if tracing them.
‘That night, I didn’t open the window here’
If so, she would have been able to become Lee Ja’s bride without knowing anything about it. Thank you the real Cassius. She must have lived by paying back the fat man.
‘I’m thinking that maybe it would have been better.’
If that was the case, at least I wouldn’t have been so heartbroken. Claudia held back a sigh and swallowed it.
‘Let’s stop thinking. Because it’s all over now anyway. The past…..is irreversible….’
It’s a situation where she can’t get back on her own. Even if the identity of the fake is revealed, the dead Cassius does not come back alive. Knowing this well, Claudia decided to keep quiet about the fact that the heir of the Werner family had been replaced. Above her head, lost in thought, a shadow fell. It was Cassius who had followed her. He placed his hand on the back of Claudia’s hand holding the window frame as if to cover it and spoke.
“Do you remember the dead?”
His hand, which briefly touched Claudia’s fingertips with his thumb, came up while slowly caressing her forearm and shoulder, and then slowly brushed the red hair covering the nape of her neck. Cassius tilted his head slightly and kissed Claudia’s exposed neck, then removed it.
“It was a rainy night.”
As if she was talking about something, Claudia turned slightly and looked at Cassius. But he wasn’t looking at her. Just like Claudia did. Since he had always made eye contact with her so straight that it was burdensome, Claudia felt a little bit that it was strange.
She is looking outside, but there is no focus inside her gray eyes. It wasn’t hard to tell that she was only looking at him. Now she was thinking back somewhere about that night, the day the real Cassius died and returned.
“I thought there was a fire in your room, so here.” He caressed the nape of her neck with his fingertips and quietly opened his mouth.
“It wasn’t until I got close to this place that the fire I found out that it wasn’t human hair. How relieved I was then, you won’t know, Cloudia.”
Claudia’s pupils widened in surprise and lost. “That means… you, you were watching, are you saying you knew?”
“I always look only at you.”
It was a stupid answer. He asked quietly in a low voice. But you hung here and looked down, not caring about getting wet.
“It was raining heavily. uh. What were you so curious about?”
His hand, which had been fiddling with her earlobe, slowly dropped.
