Duke’s beautiful tailor - Chapter 15
“Lady, I told you to speak straightforwardly even if you speak around the topic. The best person in <Book of Knights> right now is not me, but Lady.” Will said firmly.
“Besides, I don’t know how to deal with nobles because I didn’t learn anything other than making clothes. It’s different for you.”
“It’s not! Will is…”
Will interrupted Helena. “Lady, I’m not excusing myself or trying to force you to pass it on. I’m just telling the truth. I entered Master’s apprenticeship at the age of 12. And from that day on, I’ve been learning how to make clothes. But I have to admit that I am not as good as Lady, who sews as a hobby. Honestly, I am quite embarrassed. If it weren’t for this situation, I would never say this to you.”
Helena was momentarily speechless. When Will said so, she didn’t know how to respond.
Then Jerome suddenly opened his mouth. “Why don’t you tell the miss directly that she will make the duke’s clothes?”
Jerome continued to speak to Helena, who was startled by the unexpected story.
“Actually, we had a discussion with each other before you came. I’m sure if it’s the skill of the young lady, it can be done well. Are all the apprentices who have been taught by the master still the same? If we work together, we can make enough clothes to satisfy the Duke within the deadline.”
“That’s the case… but it’s absurd since I’m leaving anyway.” Helena shook her head. “I’m not an official tailor of <Book of Knights>, so how am I supposed to do this?”
“What if you’re not a formal tailor? You just heard Will. There is not a single person who can match up to you.. I will gladly follow you as well. Didn’t Master Toby always praise the young lady’s talent for not letting it go like this?”
“This time, Lady must come forward. I’m sure Lady doesn’t want <Book of Knights>t to go bankrupt, right?”
“Of course not!” As Helena strongly denied, Will took her hands. His face was terribly serious.
“Then please step forward. All the apprentices in the workshop, including myself, will do everything in our power to help. Although we are not members of the Stud family, we are members of <Book of Knights>. We all think of <Book of Knights> as our home. You can’t just let our house fall apart, can you?”
Helena looked at Will and Jerome in turn. Seeing their determined faces, Helena realised that there was no other way. Finally, Helena nodded her head.
“Okay. I’ll try then.” “Thank you, Miss.”
Will and Jerome bowed their heads at the same time, and Helena quickly grabbed their hands.
“What are you talking about? I am so grateful to Will and Jerome. Thank you so much, you both who care so much for <Book of Knights>.”
She felt so grateful that tears really came out.
