Chapter 36

People kept buzzing around, as if they saw something incredible.

Roselia, who was breathing hard while carrying a heavy load, sensed something strange in the atmosphere. This made her stop in the spot. When she lifted her head, it was only then that she realized why the surroundings had become noisy.

A jet-black carriage stopped in front of the gate of the academy. Blue roses wrapped in vines were splendidly embroidered on the flag of the carriage, and fluttered in the winds. The luxurious pattern was the original emblem of the Duke of Schulach Family.

The carriage door opened and a cool-looking handsome man, who suited the cold winter wind, came down. The Duke of Schulach, who looked around lightly, was dumbfounded when he found Roselia standing there. Then he started to approach her.

Roselia stared blankly at Cedric, who was currently striding towards her with his long legs that matched his height.

“Congratulations on your graduation.”

Cedric then handed Roselia a bouquet larger, more luxurious, and more beautiful than anyone here. Still, she couldn’t believe that he had come all the way here, so Roselia stood there blankly.

He looked at her puzzledly. Why did she not receive the bouquet, but then, he noticed the heavy burdens in her hands and glanced at his back.

Aide James, who quickly followed him out of the carriage, lifted the luggage in Roselia’s hands. With an empty hand, Roselia could now receive the flowers with a bewildered face.

“What brings you here? I heard that you were busy…”

“Your face is red.”

Cedric, who intently stared at Roselia, answered her. Seeing his tired gasze, Roselia raised her hands and carressed her cheeks.

“Is it because I have been standing outside for a while.”

“I see.”

“Let’s get in the carriage and talk. Is that all your luggage?”

“Yeah.”

Still I couldn’t believe that he had come all the way here to see me. Roselia suddenly got a headache.

It wasn’t after she got into the carriage, Roselia, who suddenly sat next to him, called out to him. “Duke?” Across the street, while having a brief conversation with James, Cedric turned his head when he heard her calling.

“Aren’t you busy?”

“Even if I am busy, I would still come to your graduation ceremony.” As he casually just said it to her, Roselia felt a little shy.

That natural tone of voice always made her feel that she was very precious to him. This action of his must be because of his kind heart; his act of taking care of the needy and the poor.

“I thought you wouldn’t come…”

As always, she always thought of this hasty misunderstanding. Roselia looked down at the bouquet of flowers, just holding it, the flower’s sweet scent stimulated her sense of smell.

“Thank you for coming and for the bouquet of flowers.”

After being told by Cedric that she should just say thank you instead of apologizing, Roselia often said thank you.

But that didn’t mean that she had to say thank you to anyone. Her generosity only works for her guardian, Cedric.

(Our Duke status in Fl’s heart raised from being a sponsor to being a guardian. heh.)

As he looked at Roselia’s face buried in the bouquet, he whispered.

“Your hair is now so long.”
