Duke’s Exclusive Painter - Chapter 4
Chapter 4
He frowned as the heat he had been pressing down seemed to rise again.
Figuring out what his expression meant, the woman raised her upper body and said, “I’m sorry I bothered you so late at night.”
“Why are you sleeping on the sofa?” He asked, chopping off her words.
She, who still had been dreaming, opened her eyes for a moment and then pointed at the papers scattered across the floor.
“It’s a bit regretful not to finish it.”
“How about the meal?”
“I eat it. Miss Marsha brought it.”
Marsha was the name of the Duke’s maid. The name of that woman, who took care of my meal came to my mind at first thought and then disappeared.
Cedric sat on the bed and watched the woman for a moment, then grabbed the tangled blanket and put it over her body.
The woman lies on the bed once more, following the kind hand. She looked up to him with a bewildered smile and spoke, letting out a bashful smile.
“Have you been well?”
“Fine.”
It was the same word Cedric answered every time he returned to the mansion. The woman looked at him and smiled, letting out a dimple on her cheeks and closed her eyes after a while. It seemed that her sleepiness was prevalent. She must have stayed up all night again, so he didn’t want to wake her up again.
He arranged the duvet for her when he saw her breathing regularly.
(duvet – soft quilt filled with down, feathers, or a synthetic fiber, used instead of an upper sheet and blankets. XD I used this as a mattress instead of a blanket~)
Cedric got up from the bed he had been sitting on. Still, I wouldn’t leave the studio right away. It was because he couldn’t take his eyes off Rosalia’s face. A woman shimmering in the moonlight outside the window and the din light on the night table, cause the anguish that stirs up his mind…
She was the one who made the smell of sticky paint, which he didn’t like so much, feel like a mellow scent.
Cedric’s first encounter with Roselia was shortly after he assumed the Duchy.
Cedric Schulach. As the only heir to the Dukedom, he received countless attention from those around him even before he turned adult. Having inherited the Duke’s extraordinary mind and the Duchess’ beautiful appearance, he gradually became the perfect Duke that no one could deny.
He may be a little crooked, but he has grown admirably without any error whatsoever following the training course set by the Duke.
