Imprint Of Count Wolf - Chapter 4
Chapter 4
She had to be patient. (talking about the Duchess of Aida here)
She thought the same as Eleonora. What good would it bring even if Count Arnulf has wealth and power? She didn’t want her daughter to suffer by marrying a rough man with a nickname of a wolf. Unless she is sent to marry and be the neighboring country’s Queen, they will live close to each other in the capital.
Eleonora deserves to marry an elegant and beautiful man, receive all kinds of love and worship, and live in the admiration of the social world.
That’s why Lisa was brought to the Duke of Aida to become Eleonora’s replacement. Even so, the Duchess was full of contempt towards her.
She couldn’t hide her cold attitude, but she had to get Lisa a tutor regardless. The only dowry was a carriage, two horses, a wedding dress and a couple of clothes. The clothes were also tailored from Eleonora’s casual clothes to fit Lisa’s size.
Count Arnulf sent a pouch of five colored sapphires, ten boxes of gold coins, dozens of scrolls of the finest silk, an elaborate gold watch, and many other valuable items, but it is doubtful that the Duke of Aida would have made a decent return. It was just going through the norms.

‘Will Count Arnulf accept it, even though I’m the one who’s coming?’
Lisa did not know exactly what happened between the Duke of Aida and Count Arnulf. Maybe the Duke simply begged the Count Wolf that he could not marry his daughter even if he died, so he, the Count, knew she had to go instead.
‘Will we finally arrive tonight?’
At that same time, a haste sound of horse gallops was heard, it was felt even inside the rattled wagon, then the wagon soon stopped. The howling wolves also disappeared. This time, even when the curtains were rolled, the maid did not reprimand her. Through the windows, all they could see were the Knights. Everyone wore black clothes, and even the horses they were riding were wearing black armor that they seemed to blend in with the dark environment, so she couldn’t even tell how many Knights were there actually.
‘I am here.’
A man running from the front of the formation asked, “Is this the carriage of the Duke of Aida?”
“Yes, yes.”
The escort, who had acted like a cruel muscled man to over power Lisa through the entire journey, cried out and answered. Then the servant asked, confused.
“Is this everyone in your party? Was there any accident on the way? I haven’t heard any news about it.”
“That is… ” The escort hesitated.
“I was worried that you wouldn’t arrive by any means. If something happened to the Countess…”
