Imprint Of Count Wolf - Chapter 9
“Holy Father. Today, a man and a woman who were split in two came here to return to full spirituality as a couple.”
Lisa was vaguely listening to the ongoing wedding prayers. Even at her own wedding, the wedding prayers sung by priests have never felt so meaningless. She barely thought of anything.
I realized that I was asked to sign the marriage contract only when the copy and the pen were put in front of me.
I couldn’t instantly think of what to write. On this, she was not instructed otherwise.
What should be written?….. ‘Aida of Princess’?
However, she is not Eleanora, and she had heard numerous pretenses to not even dream of calling herself Princess of Aida.
In the end, she only signed “Lisa”. Without mentioning anything else, the scribe took the marriage contract to Count Arnulf to sign. Lisa glanced at him, but the Count wrote “Arnulf’s Eckhart” in an attitude that he didn’t care at all. Unlike Lisa’s clumsy writing, it was a simple, yet elegant handwriting.
“Please put the ring on the bride.” There was a ring. Count Arnulf grabbed Lisa’s left hand and inserted a ring made of small diamonds around it.
As directed by the priest, Lisa also put a platinum ring on the ring finger of the Count’s left hand.
‘I did it.’
The priest smiled.
“Therefore, you two are now a couple in front of the Almighty.”
Count Arnulf said dryly, as if he had finished the troublesome work.
The wedding chamber was a big wonderful room. Beautiful tapestries resembling heaven hung on the walls, and the furniture was all old art pieces. And a white silk bedding was spread on the bed.
‘I did it.’ Lisa put her bouquet down on the table by the bed, and sat down on the bed.
Perhaps it was because of the excessive fear, I didn’t think of anything as if my heart had died.
However, when Count Arnulf returned to the bedroom, her heart began to thump in fear.
The Count was wearing a comfortable tunic and trousers. There were drops of water on his hair and the nape of his neck. The obvious muscle on the thin fabric moved flexibly like an animal, and there was no sound in his footsteps, but there was a feeling of pressure as if the entire air was vibrating.
I’m going to have my first night with this guy. Even now, I still cannot believe it.
