Private tutor - Chapter 3
Chapter 3
“Me?”
I glanced around and saw an incinerator burning with flames and smoke. If it had been a little bit late, she would have been burning terribly up in that incinerator by now.
“The house is a mess.”
Returning to the rental room, Pia first sat down on a chair and took care of her mind. I still have a headache. It didn’t go away completely. The room was a mess. Besides, there was no warmth to be found. It was so cold.
“I’m hungry…”
Pia, who could not sit on the chair for a long time, got up staggering and put the firewood into the furnace first. As the wood burned in the stove, this time through the baskets, she found a hardened bread.
This was the only thing I had to eat at home. No potatoes, no vegetables. Meat? Milk? There could be no such thing to have. Pia thought carefully as she ate the hard bread, cut the smaller bread in two, put it on the stove, warmed it up a little, and ate it.
[She was obviously dead.]
[I also checked. Found the owner of the house dead and informed us]
[Before Lee brought her in, I confirmed that she had stopped breathing…]
The people who rode on the wagon wouldn’t be lying. What kind of hateful feelings would you have with yourself to lie? ‘Well, I thought I was dead too. Suering from a high fever, I closed my eyes and lost consciousness at the end, but was I dead?
But if she had died, how could she come back to life? What is the probability of being mistaken for death after entering a state of comatose for a short time? ‘I am definitely alive now. Hungry, very
hungry, and cold… Can the dead feel hunger?’ Pia, who was eating bread, slightly pinched her arm.
“Ouch.”
It hurts. The dead do not feel pain, but when they feel pain, then they are still alive.
“Everyone is mistaken. What’s wrong with my heart? My heart is beating so well.” Pia murmured as she felt her heart beating well with her hand.
“I need to buy something to eat right now… The firewood is almost gone… But the money…”
When I opened the box where I usually put my money, I only saw a few coins. Wages were also delayed.
“What? Because of the epidemic, I have no place to work right now…’
A plague swept through the city, and Pia was cut o from where she worked as a family teacher. Employers all took their children to vacation spots. They probably won’t come back until the epidemic is completely gone and the city is in a stable state. And by the time they return, they may be dead from cold and starvation, not from an epidemic.
“I need to save something, anything.”
