Chapter 7

After all, the whole area was a wasteland, and there was nowhere to go.

“My son Leon is weak. So, avoid strenuous exercise.”

“Yes, I will look into it.”

Is it hereditary? So both father and son are sick maybe?

“Leon goes to bed at 9, so please finish your work the day before 9.” “Yeah. all right.”

“Leon is allergic to flowers. Please be careful not to bring fresh or dried flowers, ornaments made of flowers, perfumes made of flowers, etc. into the mansion”

“Yeah. I will be careful.”

Flower allergy? I’ve heard of pollen allergies. Pollen allergy and flower allergy are the same thing, right?

“And Leon doesn’t eat milk fat or meat at all. So, by any chance, please do not feed Leon meat, milk, butter or cheese.”

“Yeah. I will remember.”

No. If you don’t eat meat and don’t eat milk, butter or cheese, what do you mean? Do you have any religious reasons? I don’t eat that kind of thing, so I get sick all the time. Children, especially as they grow up, need a good diet of meat and milk to be healthy, and a child who is only seven now eats those things.

If you don’t eat, will you grow properly?

“Then ,don’t you eat fish too?”

“I don’t even eat fish. I do not eat anything that bleeds.”

“Yeah. all right.”

Then suddenly, I was worried. ‘Can’t I eat something like that too? Is meat itself forbidden in this house? I like meat… Milk and butter… Cheese…’ They were all things I could eat. How can I not eat such delicious things? ‘Having a lot of money doesn’t make you happy. Me,  a life without meat doesn’t make me happy. Besides, it was not a happy life at all, not being able to walk under a tree in full bloom.

“For now, you just need to be aware of that. Miss Lindsay will guide you to your room.”

The woman Henry Dale introduced as ‘Lindsey’ was a middle-aged woman who looked over forty years old. ‘The atmosphere is the same.’

Picking up her luggage and following Lindsey up to the second floor, Pia realised something was strange.
