The Main Character of Fairy Tale - Chapter 13
Chapter 13 “Oh, right.”
“Oh my gosh, Princess. You said that the content of the fairy tale was beautiful and asked me to tell you over and over again, and now you forgot? It’s no wonder the princess has forgotten something. Anytime you like the perfect ending to the most famous and most beautiful story on the continent. It was good then. As innocent as a child.“
“Would you mind putting the book in the library? It’s time to see my father.”
As the nanny’s words got longer, Floris cut it o and drew a line. The nanny sighed and took the book. Floris raised her chin and stood up expressionless. And disappeared from the peacock gilded mansion.
The bigger Floris grew, the further away she was from everyone. Rumors about the proud duke’s daughter, who could not see any flaws, were spreading throughout the capital. All noble families with young girls the same age as Floris were anxious to make friends with her. However, Floris did not give any interest to anyone, and only approached the friendship at a level appropriate to politeness.
“I don’t need friends. It will become a weakness later on.” The Duchess died of a fever when Floris was five years old. Whenever Floris said something not seventeen, the nanny thought she raised her the wrong way.
This made her sigh. However, it was not Yu Mo-in herself who could influence her, but her father, Duke Neviev.
“Anyway, if there is power, people will follow it, and no one in this world can be trusted forever.”
The nanny ended the situation alone, rationalizing the situation with the sentiment that Floris had no choice but to look just like the Duke of Neviev, famous for his perfectionist cold-bloodedness.
Otherwise, it would not be praised as the only successor of Neviev. Floris was dierent from other ordinary children from an early age.
Once she made up her mind of doing something, she would do it somehow, and in the process, she would not choose any means and method. She instinctively understood people well, but she did not have the ability to empathize. Of course, if all of these qualities were helpful to the aristocrats, there was nothing she could do.
The nanny looked at Floris’ undistorted back, and then hurried to the library, not noticing a man slowly rising from the bush right next to them. Floris sat like a painting in front of Oscar Neviev, father and only Duke of the kingdom. After seeing and receiving Floris’s schedule, Neviev was satisfied.
He nodded. Floris had a light smile and, without the slightest distraction, looked down with a dignified attitude. “Yeah, every tutor who has been through you will praise you, saying that music, art, culture, philosophy, history, imperial language, magic, and swordsmanship all have nothing to teach you anymore. Everyone has said that they do everything perfectly to the point of being obsessive.”
“It’s overrated. It is still not enough.” Duke Neviev’s oce was spotlessly clean, and everything was at an angle. He looked at his daughter in a fully formal gesture and gave a precisely calculated smile.
