Duke - Chapter 7
Chapter 7
Victor glanced at Sylvia.
“If my child is gone, all of you will die.”
Under his shaggy bangs, his thick lips were smirking. Sylvia’s fine eyebrows were slightly frowned. He was making fun of her. But he still had the upper hand.
“If you have nowhere else to go, you can stay.”
Slyvia flinched.
I pretended to work on my embroidery, but in fact all of my attention was on him.
She glanced at Victor with the corner of her eyes.
Victor was lying on the bed looking at the ceiling. Slyvia thought that she should throw the bed right away as soon as he leaves again. He was lying on the bed without taking a shower first.
It was a room that I never felt as small before when using it alone. But when Victor came in, she felt choked. He was too big. Sylvia felt sorry for the soft, high-quality bedsheets under Victor’s enormous muddy body.
“If you don’t have a home, stay here.”
Sylvia felt offended by that laughing mocking voice, but she didn’t want to lose this golden opportunity.
“You are kind.”
After saying thank you with a pretense smile, she once again pretended to be engrossed in her embroidery work.
I didn’t want to exchange any more words with Victor.
Sylvia grieved that she had to sleep with Victor in the same room. There are many eyes looking at the Duke Castle, so other rooms cannot be used at all. Since the two are married, it was natural to use the same room.
It is natural for the people involved to think that way, but it was very upsetting to Sylvia that Victor Aswan also thought so. He proudly entered her room and took over ‘her’ bed.
“What’s your name?”
“It’s Sylvia Lauren.”
