Duke’s beautiful tailor - Chapter 32
Chapter 32
Helena closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Then she opened the door wide.
Duke Bronant was sitting comfortably, leaning against the armchair in the parlor, as if it were his own living room. He stared silently at Helena as she entered the room.
“Hello, Duke.”
Helena tried to speak as calmly as possible.
“What brings you here all of a sudden? If you had contacted me in advance, we would have come to see you.”
“This one must have hit the back of his head a minute ago. You must have an extraordinary talent for surprising me, Miss Helena.”
Duke Bronant spoke without taking his eyes off Helena. Instead of greeting the Duke, Helena hesitated with a bewildered look at the duke’s unexpected words, but then the duke continued.
“I never thought that you would appear like that in front of me.”
Helena was speechless.
The duke got up and walked slowly towards Helena. Helena took a step back without realising it as he approached her close.
“I thought you’d show up brightly and try to fool me again.”
There was no smile on the duke’s face. Helena felt cold sweat behind her back.
When she felt it, she realised that she had made a mistake.
She didn’t mean to, but it was really crazy to think that showing up like this might be a great show of their sincerity.
“Ah, I was just making the duke’s clothes. I didn’t want to make the duke wait so I didn’t change my clothes. I’m sorry if you were offended.”
Helena said not knowing what to do. Both her hands clasped with strength. She had no intention of offending the duke, but she was afraid that he was already angry.
“I didn’t mind waiting a little bit.”
The duke still has no smile on his face.
He looked at Helena and looked at the clock in the corner of the room.
“I certainly wouldn’t have minded waiting that long.”
His gaze looking back at her side was so sharp that it felt as if she was being pierced. Helena realised she was trembling.
“I’m really sorry.”
When you make a mistake, you can only honestly ask for forgiveness. Helena closed her eyes tightly and bowed her head.
“What do you mean?”
The duke narrowed his eyes and asked.
“I committed a big disrespect to the Duke in this way. What can I do to atone for deceiving the Duke? I have no excuse.”
Helena did not raise her face. She simply bowed her head and begged the Duke for forgiveness.
Duke Bronant looked at Helena as she responded, trembling like a little rabbit in front of a beast.
“I’m really sorry. Actually, I…”
It was when Helena was desperately trying to explain.
“It was my side who came to visit without contact.”
The duke said while cutting Helena’s words. In fact, the fact that he came to <Book of Knights> was rather impulsive.
