Duke’s beautiful tailor - Chapter 33
Chapter 33
The moment he saw Helena at the tea party that day, he was convinced that the person he met before at another party was the same person. And he couldn’t resist trying to confirm that fact. That was the reason why he suddenly appeared here without prior arrangements.
Watching Helena come into the drawing room a while ago, the duke could see that his eyes were not wrong.
The tailor he met at his mansion, Helena Stud, he met at the tea party, and the man currently standing before him, trembling, was clearly the same person.
Her warm and soft-looking golden brown hair was a bit shorter, and she was without makeup, so how could he recognize her?
Her blue-gray eyes were as mysterious as a calm lake, and small lips like a fresh rosebud, which caught his eye, were the same.
“Your reaction is quite interesting.”
He reached out his long, graceful hand and gently grabbed Helena’s chin.
“As long as you’re not trying to fool me, look me in the eye and tell me.”
Helena, startled by his words, raised her head without even thinking to shake off the duke’s hand.
“I- I was trying to tell the Duke the truth. I didn’t mean to deceive you.”
Helena was so startled that she felt that the duke’s utterances were from an angry man.
She didn’t realise that something was strange from his reaction.
“Is that so? Then tell me what the truth is.”
Helena swallowed dry saliva in response to such direct inquiry. The duke’s face, staring at her, was still expressionless.
She was really afraid since she didn’t know how angry the duke was.
“In fact…”
Helena began to explain in a trembling voice. Looking into the duke’s eyes, she tried to speak calmly.
Helena told him the fact that <Book of Knights> were having trouble financially, and that the only way they could revive the store was by taking a new order from the Duke.
She told him frankly.
The duke was silently listening to Helena’s story. She was trembling like a little bird and explaining everything step by step.
Helena’s eyes were serious. Her flawless, clear eyes were appealing to him. Even though she had no makeup on, her cheeks were flushed red, probably because of tension.
As she bit her lip several times as she explained, Duke Bronant suddenly felt the urge to kiss her. Helena’s lips were red as she had bitten them several times without realising it.
If he kissed those lips, would it taste like roses?
Her very existence seems to be alluring as a red rose.
‘I must be crazy.’
Duke Bronant narrowed his eyes and thought to himself. In fact, the woman in front of him was far from evoking the appearance of a red rose. She was trembling while speaking, but she looked pretty in front of his eyes.
Her short golden-brown hair had no appeal, and the clothes she was wearing were nothing more than plain clothes made from rough cotton fabric that was common to men on the streets. Neither the color of her hair nor the color of her eyes had anything to do with the splendor of the red rose. Nevertheless, this young lady continued to catch the duke’s attention.
