Duke’s beautiful tailor - Chapter 5
She knew it about the fact and she hated mentioning it. But before she could even bring herself to that point, Duke Bronant readily spoke.
“Are you talking about asking for the clothes to be paid in advance? If that’s the case, there’s no need to worry.”
As the duke gestured, Winfield, the duke’s butler who was waiting in the corner, bowed his head and went out. Perhaps he went to get gold coins or a deed of credit.
“Once again, thank you very much.”
Helena was relieved at that moment and bowed her head deeply.
‘I’m glad, I’m really happy!’ Helena was so happy that she almost burst into tears. With this, it was now possible to pay the bill for <Book of Knights> that was on the verge of closing by the end of the month. <Book of Knights> was now safe.
“Then can I now take your measurements?”
Helena was so excited that she jumped up and said, before the duke’s butler returned. The duke glanced at Helena’s excited face once, and then slowly got up from his seat.
A servant who had been waiting near the wall until now came right up and took off his coat. Meanwhile, two other servants diligently unfolded a simple dressing screen and brought a three-sided full-length mirror.
The duke walked inside the folding screen, wearing only a thin top and pants, and stood in front of Helena.
Helena approached the duke cautiously. Because she was taller than other girls her age, she had many restrictions on wearing high-heeled shoes. But the Duke of Bronant was tall enough that even she had to lift her head and look up.
Helena felt her heart beating with tension again and held the tape measure in her hand. She had taken her father, brother, and Jerome’s measures many times to make clothes, but this was the first time she’d touched the body of a young man outside of her family.
The opponent was the duke of this country, who was beautiful and dignified like a painting. She couldn’t tolerate any mistakes in what she was doing from now on. Helena took a deep breath without making a sound.
Once they were ready, they began to measure one after another to make the clothes.
At first, it seemed that she was trembling a little when she was forced to touch the duke’s body. However, as soon as she started working, Helena was only able to focus on her work. She calmly proceeded with what she had to do, step by step.
Rather, it was Duke Bronant who lost his composure. First of all, he was dealing with a tailor, whose gender couldn’t be noted at first glance.
But when he finally said that he was going to order the clothes, he saw the smile on the tailor’s face.
This was because the tailor’s smile was so joyful and bright.
“I’m sorry, Duke, but I’m going to the left. Could you go one step further? My line of sight can only see slightly down. Yes, that’s enough.”
Standing in front of the mirror, turning to the side or raising his arm as requested, the duke watched the tailor’s face the whole time.
The tailor was still smiling as he was overjoyed that he was going to order clothes. He was so absorbed in taking measurements that he did not realize that he was smiling so brightly.
The duke continued to look at the tailor’s face with interest. How can a person smile so brightly?
