Duke’s Exclusive Painter - Chapter 48
Chapter 48
She was truly an idiot.
“…let’s just do some work.”
Roselia corrected her thoughts that were constantly going wrong and started working on it.
From the hour when the sun was shining, to when the sun went down, she was still working, not until the sky was dyed like a dark abyss did she let go of the brush in her hand. She checked the clock and it was already 10 pm.
Roselia picked off the lamp and placed it on the night table, lighting up the canvas, which was largely obscure by darkness. The portrait she had been working on for several hours was perfect enough to be hung in the exhibition hall right away.
That’s why she felt even more embarrassed. The people in the portrait may be the person he loves, so why did she draw so hard? Cedric said the he was asking for a favor from the Duke’s daughter, but she knew something. Thinking like this, I immediately had an urge to tear the portrait into small pieces with a sharp nib. It was really filthy, this jealousy.
It didn’t go away, but the violent impulse soon faded away. It was because she thought that tearing this up might push Cedric in trouble.
‘Seriously. Oh yeah.’
Roselia, who was staring at the Young Lady’s portraits with her chin resting in both her hands, suddenly wanted to see the portrait she drew of him before. It was kept in the most secret room on the first floor of the mansion. All of the other paintings are left in the exhibition hall, but Cedric kept this portrait of himself in that room.
Roselia slowly got up.
The hallway was dark. Come to think of it, I don’t know if he came back after leaving the mansion with the Young Lady. She was once again depressed by her situation, in which she could not even pay him a visit freely. If I were a Young Lady as well, I would have gone to him without worrying about this.
As she was going to immerse herself with her self-help thoughts again, Roselia shook her head to wake herself up.
After walking diligently, I arrived in front of the room on the first floor. The door that should have been closed was slightly open, making Roselia’s eyes widened.
‘Who’s there?’
CEdric said that only him and her could enter this room. So, if it’s not Roselia. Then Cedric, he was here.
“…sigh.”
Roselia, who was holding the doorknob to check if it was really Cedric, was startled by the heavy bass sound from the inside.
What is this sound? An innocent question mark popped into Roselia’s mind. Roselia listens through the gap in the door.
In an unfamiliar atmosphere, one after another, a harsh voice passed through her ears.
“Uh-huh…damn it.”
That familiar voice was his. But his breathing…why is it so steep?
