Duke’s Exclusive Painter - Chapter 9
Chapter 9
It was the only space where light was blocked. Nevertheless, a splendid light poured from the painting hung above it.
No, rather than simply emitting light, it had a luxurious charm enough to draw people’s attention helplessly. Apparently, many people who looked at this painting were also attracted to the painting in that way.
The painting did not depict anything specific. It was like a landscape painting, yet it was strangely abstract.
Still, I couldn’t take my eyes off of it. All of the optic nerves seemed to have been immersed in the midst of the color and the colors blending harmoniously and clumsily.
My heart throbbed and tightened with a feeling I couldn’t figure out why.
My heart rate rose as if something hit my heart with a hammer.
It wasn’t long before Cedric felt an uncomfortable change. It was a strange and embarrassing change that he had never experienced before in his life.
The moment his head turned downwards, Cedric made a clear discovery. The fact that his pants were bulging.
‘…Standing?’
Cedric was so flustered that he was speechless.
Like the brutal order of the food chain, it was something I had never experienced since witnessing my parents’ lowly love affair. He looked up at the painting again with a face that had completely forgotten how to speak. The strange feeling conveyed by that painting was still there. The sense of shame and humiliation that rushed like a wave, instantly vanished without a trace when he looked at the painting again. It was as if the painting was forcibly grabbing his intelligence and throwing him into ecstasy. So deep and distant like a swamp, his senses poured out like a tide.
Cedric’s gaze naturally turned to the bottom of the art work. The name was neatly written on a small piece of paper that was incomparable to the size of the work.
“Rosalia.”
Without realizing it, he whispered the name.
That unfamiliar name stuck in my mind as intensely as that work of art. That instead of cleaning down, his lower leg numbed more and more. A chilling sensation ran down his spine from the first experience he had never felt before.
Really, it was strange.
Cedric was in chaos for a week. He couldn’t believe that he stood tall looking at a student artwork. Something he had never thought in his life.
At first it was a dazed feeling, but as it went on, it became like a tsunami with a strong sense of self-doubt, attacking him. He was immersed in chaos that affected the speed of his work, which he had always dealt quickly, slowed down a lot.
