Duke’s Exclusive Painter - Chapter 8
Chapter 8
It was a very tiring system to carry out. Even so, as an unmarried man, there is no other way to avoid this system. To be precise, there is a way to avoid it, but I just didn’t do it because I might have to deal with many things while trying to avoid something that bothers me.
Cedric let out a long sigh and thought. I’m just going to take a look around the exhibition hall and pick any student, then come back soon.
The Sirenzium Academy was much smaller than the academy he attended in other countries. But this is not a place only for nobles to attend, and it was certainly not a place for you to go to school casually. Nevertheless, if you have skills, you can get admissions all over the place, so you have no choice but to run out of the capital.
Therefore, the president of the school was desperately trying to catch a high-ranking nobleman. Even if just one of those people who control the Empire was caught, abundant support will surely come from that moment until the student will graduate. The full support they will receive is equivalent to supporting the Academy.
Cedric headed to the exhibition hall prepared for the sponsorship. In a quiet place almost like a temple, only the sound of footsteps could be heard. At the exhibition hall where you could see the works of the students, even if you meet someone you know, no one dares to speak and could only greet them with silence.
It was polite to do so, since everyone was moving quietly.
The interior of the exhibition hall was mostly new, and paintings were hung at regular intervals on the wall without any marks. Cedric, like everyone else, leaned back and looked at the paintings on the wall. At the bottom of the four square canvases, the introduction of the work and the student’s name were written in a concise way.
Cedric could barely stop his yawn. He was not interested in this kind of art at all, so looking at these colorful paintings that didn’t seem impressive at all, it just feels.like white is white and black is black. Frankly, in his eyes, these artworks looked like that and it was very boring.
‘I’ll have to pick someone and go back soon.’
Cedric turned the corner, feeling even more boring than expected.
His feet went to a corner of the exhibition hall, a place that was less conspicuous than other works. However, an unexpectedly large number of people were standing in front of someone’s work. And there was an unusually heavier stillness than anywhere else. It was a quiet stillness, a feeling of pressure pressing down on his body.
I followed their gaze. Cedric also looked at the painting hanging on the wall. At that moment, Cedric’s footsteps, which had been going on since entering the exhibition hall, stopped for the first time.
