Chapter 15

Considering his size, it seemed like he needed to eat twice as much as the amount of food.

‘I think I kind of understand why you say that.’

The fun of cutting small things and feeding them to a friend I like was more fun than I thought, but it was completely different from serving someone while holding their hungry stomach. While Eileen thought Richard’s words were empty, he gave the spoon to Eileen.

“Please eat.”

“Ah yes.”

Eileen suddenly grabbed the teacup and took a sip of the pink liquid. The iced tea, which has a sweet and sour taste mixed with fruit juice and honey, cleanses the greasy inside thoroughly. Embarrassed that I ate too much alone, I tried to put it down after just tasting it, but before I knew it, I had emptied the entire glass.

“Would you like another drink?”

What was left unspoken was positivity. As he looked at Eileen sipping her new iced tea, he added as if what he had said earlier was true.

“It’s true. It’s been a long time since I had a meal with anyone. Just having Eileen with me was a special experience for me.”

Eileen trailed off after realizing that these were not empty words. It seemed like I didn’t even know how lonely he was and just complained because I felt sorry.

“Let’s eat together every day from now on!”

Humans eat three meals a day, right? It might be a bit difficult if every meal was this luxurious, but I was confident that I would join in as long as Richard was happy. Eileen finished her meal with a promise.

I was so full that I had to sit down. I was a little worried about getting overweight, but perhaps because of the iced tea, the overeating went down and I was able to walk comfortably.

“Then would you like to finish looking around the tower?”

Despite yesterday’s splendid trip, it still seemed like there was plenty to see in the tower. Eileen asked just before Richard opened the door.

“Where does Richard stay the longest?”

It was nice to see the mysterious tower through the door that leads to anywhere, but I was more curious about Richard itself than the tower. Whoever stays the longest in that place has its traces. Eileen wanted to see the home where he would stay for a long time.

“It’s the place where I stay the longest. “

Richard seems to be thinking about something.

Soon after, he left a request to wait here for a moment and entered the door alone. Beyond the entrance he entered seemed to be an empty room. It seemed that anyone other than the owner could not reach the desired space. I guess I waited about 5 minutes. Richard appeared in an empty space. Eileen came inside holding the outstretched hand and soon saw that her surroundings had changed. The sound of something bubbling. The smell of old books wafted from the shelves filled with old books. Perhaps because of the softly laid wooden walls, I felt like I was in a villa. But it was not an ordinary villa. There was a huge magic circle drawn on the floor she was stepping on.

“This is my laboratory.”
