The Main Character of Fairy Tale - Chapter 14
Chapter 14
The bookshelf behind him was packed with all sorts of books describing the dignity of aristocrats. Of course, the same books were still sitting on the small bookshelf in Floris’s room.
“There is no one throughout the kingdom who is ignorant of your intelligence. The last time I had an audience with Queen Mother, there were many compliments saying that she was the only princess in the Duke of Neviev. There are many sayings that you should set an example for noble girls. I am proud that you are my daughter.”
“Thank you. I’m still learning.”
Despite sitting for long periods of time, Floris never gets distracted and Duke Neviev never said anything to ease her posture.
“You look a lot like me. The Nevievs have historically been a perfect family that no aristocrat can replace, and I hope you will live up to that name as my only heir.”
“I will keep that in mind.”
At that time, a knock was heard, and the butler came in and put the cart down in front of them directly. Seeing the couple sitting in the exact same posture as if in a picture and having a hard conversation, the butler got nervous and slowly placed the refreshments, then he lowered his head, shaking his hands involuntarily at the suocating silence.
Oscar Neviev holds a needle. He was such a tight-knit person that he couldn’t go. He had read all kinds of books on the management of aristocratic families from an early age, and it seemed like he really came out of a book. And he applied the standards set forth in the book to his life, with no exceptions. It was the same with parenting, and his daughter Floris grew up as a young girl with no human beauty due to her natural Oscar-like temperament and obsessive growing environment.
Everyone said that the Duke of Neviev is a breathtaking but fair place to work, so it’s easy to work, but the butler feels indescribable every time he sees them.
It feels irritating. Should it be said that it is a feeling of objectifying everyone, including himself, he has no empathy and never expresses his emotions. Although he lacked understanding and recognition of people, he had an insight that seemed to penetrate human nature. Oscar has accurately identified every person’s characteristics, and perhaps the same goes for Floris, who resembles him. There was a strange feeling of having everyone under him perfectly with the traits he had grasped. This fact was a characteristic that would be dicult to notice if you did not observe them for a long time, even if you had worked in the duke’s family for a long time.
‘Anyway, not ordinary people. It didn’t come out of a book. If the type became human, it would be just that.’
The butler hurriedly left the oce when he saw Floris, who was breathtakingly beautiful but showed no emotion, lifted a teacup in the most elegant gesture. With a glimpse of his back, Oscar spoke.
“The duke has more than two hundred servants. If you add up the guards, it’s over three hundred. If you want to manage them, treat them fairly, but don’t give them the impression that they are the same person. You’ll definitely have problems in the future.”
