Winter Hunting - Chapter 16
Chapter 16
It happened in an instant.
The man slowly looked to his side. At first glance, his partner, who stood unmoving, seems to have no problem, until blood spurts through the back of his head.
The one-eyed man fell forward like a chopped tree.
“Uh…uh…”
The other man looked around with a terrified face. He couldn’t see anything because of the fog and the scattered snow. He turned around from where he stood, pointing his muzzle, shooting an unknown enemy. Focusing his eyes, at that moment, a black shadow emerged from the distance about ten steps away.
“Bang!”
The man immediately pulled the trigger. However, it just rang out in the air, and couldn’t hit anything.
Has he seen anything in vain? He quickly rubbed his eyes. Then, he suddenly felt a presence of something coming behind him, he turned around right away. A cold muzzle touched his forehead. With that touch, the man slowly rolled his eyes and made eye contact with the one who aimed his gun at him. He didn’t believe that he didn’t notice him until he got closer.
“No, Don’t…”
“Bang!”
The bullet came out from the mouth of the gun and smashed the pursuer’s skull.
…
Ariste was wandering through the forest covered in snow.
Drop. Drop.
Along the way, wherever Ariste passed, red marks were spotted on the snow. The red colored snow is like Anemone in the middle of winter.
The blood flowing through her hand did not stop. Her gray cloak is also drenched with her blood, and it could be seen at first glance.
Her grey cloak was soaked with her blood, making it look like it was made of red cloth.
‘I think I clearly passed this road…’
However, even in the midst of her hazy mind, the fact that she was lost was clearly evident. Ariste was in a state of giving up looking at the landscape that didn’t change much even if she walked and walked.
Her rough breath broke into the cold white air.
Her vision shook and she felt dizzy. She couldn’t count how many times she repeatedly tried opening her half lidded eyes. One of her shoes was stuck and was left under the snow for a long time.
She has no destination, no goals.
All she could do was go forward, go ahead.
Just move on. It’s been a long time since she didn’t care to think about what’s waiting for her at the end of the road.
“Oh, huh…”
One of the branches of the tree right above her head got bent because it was full of snow. It was sobbing as if it would break anytime soon.
And it did.
The snow from the tree spilled over her head. As the heavy snow poured down, her slender body collapsed in an instant.
Her already wet body was covered in snow, slowly freezing as it got even colder. The snowflakes that came into the old leather shoes were freezing her flesh red.
