1999th bride - Chapter 29
Chapter 29
He was holding a walnut cookie that smelled savory and delicious in his hand.
“It’s a present.”
“Oh my God, where did you buy it?”
“The place famous for walnuts.”
She didn’t know where it was, but it’s delicious. She was already drooling. Mellissa took a bite of the crispy outside, but there are plump walnuts inside.
“Wow, it’s really delicious. Have a taste also.”
“Is it?”
“Come on. here!”
It was natural to feel good when one eats delicious food. Melissa got excited without realizing it and picked up a walnut cookie and fed it to him.
Then all of a sudden, uh, isn’t this the attitude of feeding someone? I wasn’t meaning to, but I was already pushing, so I couldn’t move.
“It’s delicious.”
Wolfward took a bite of the walnut cookie. For that reason, it was irresistible to rub his lips against the tip of her finger. Melissa’s cheeks were all red and the other half was shoved into her mouth. She’s sure she’d done something more extreme than this, but why was it shameful?
“You’d better sit on the roof, excuse me for a moment.”
“Yes, yes.”
Wolfward wrapped his arms around her waist and raised her from the ground. After all, the two are very different.
She sat quietly on the roof and looked up at the dark sky.
“When will the stars fall?”
“I think it will fall soon… but I don’t know for sure.”
“okay.”
Wolfward said that he knows what he knows and doesn’t know what he doesn’t know. One of his strengths was that he doesn’t brag for nothing or pretend he doesn’t. Melissa smiled bashfully and ate another walnut cookie. Then he quietly held out a water bottle. He was so meticulous that she wondered when she would have gotten all of this.
“I remember thatI wasn’t originally a person on this earth, but someone who lived somewhere in the sky..”
As she drank the water, Wolfward continued the story he had told her during the day. Melissa almost squirted water, but she was barely holding back.
“The sky?”
“It’s an incredulous story, but it is. The land there rotted and life ceased to exist, and in the end, we had to find a place to move. The survivors sent their newborn, uncontaminated babies here to live as someone else’s children or be alone.”
“Oh My God.”
Come to think of it, does she know anything about Wolfward’s family? None. He may not really have a family.
Melissa was really surprised, because she had never thought about it. On the other hand, Wolfward was calm. While telling a story that can shake the world.
“However, even if it was a polluted land, It was my home. Masu…”
That’s right. It’s where Wolfward should have lived. What kind of world was it? How badly was it that they had no choice but to escape the children? The story continued.
“The day I grew up, they sent me down to this land with the power of the stars. I could still revive this place anyway. It was a disaster that even one extremely strong person could only prevent.”
