Duke’s Exclusive Painter - Chapter 45
Chapter 45
At first I was skeptical. Like Count Ribe, who tried to treat the sponsorship as an excuse, or the people before him…she thought Cedric Schulack was a vicious and filthy man.
But whenever they met, he never showed such an insidious expresion. Rather, their healthy relationship continued to the extent that her doubts were futile.
It was only when he finally revealed the reason for the sponsorship at first that Roselia finally took away any of her doubts about him. When the hard outer shell was peeled off, the soft flesh hidden inside melted away easily in front of Cedric Schulach.
He was always a friend, mature, and serious. In all honesty, I’ve never had any trouble with him.
So, Roselia is running out of time and hides her feelings for him more tightly. Unlike Cedric, if her heart that was stained with such impurities, was found out, it will cause their relationship with each other, which was entangled with the patronage, and it will be cut off in vain.
In the relationship between A and E, the feeling of love was unnecessary. He never loses his composure, so she arranges her feelings for fear that she might embarrass him with her wrong feelings.
By keeping silence forever rather than turning into a confession of anger, Roselia insisted on staying with him.
Now, even with me here just sitting, I was still thinking of Cedric. With her head leaning against the window, Roselia’s eyes naturally turned downwards, below, a shiny black carriage came into her view.
She saw Cedric getting out of the carriage with a woman, who had a smile on her lips. Cedric grabbed the woman’s hand and began to enter the mansion.
Roselia, who had long been frozen by the unexpected scene, turned away from the window after sensing the presence of someone outside the door.
Then the door opened after a knock and Cedric appeared.
“Roselia, are you ready?”
“Ah, yes.”
As if she had never seen anything outside of the window, Roselia responded as she kept fiddling the edge of the canvas.
Cedric widened the opening of the door even more, and walked out of the door. He reached out his hand towards the woman, who she just saw out of the window, with her fine hand wearing a lace glove.
While Cedric led the woman to the opposite side of Roselia, Roselia just stood there like a stone statue. In an instant her mind went blank.
The woman was seated in the prepared chair. She looked more beautiful and dignified than any other nobles she had seen and visited her for a portrait. She also got along well with Cedric, who was standing next to her like a knight.
Cedric, who leaned down his upper body and whispered something to her, blinked at Roselia. Roselia frantically lifted her brush to draft.
Cedric, who was beside the woman, looked at me for the first time. The moment their eyes met, Roselia was somehow stunned.
“Then…let’s get started.”
