Duke’s Exclusive Painter - Chapter 46
Chapter 46
“Then…Let’s get started.”
Roselia avoided his gaze for no reason and announced that she will now begin with a normal voice. It was like a determination to conquer her trembling heart.
As she instinctively moved her hand and began to draw lines for the subject, useless thoughts floated in Roselia’s head.
First of all, she was very nervous seeing the woman and Cedric standing closer together than necessary. I was sweating profusely behind my back, trying to keep my hands from slipping.
Meanwhile, Cedric stepped out from the woman and started to approach Roselia. This time, it seemed to become a long chapter in a different sense, and my fingers were stiff and my heart rate gradually increased.
“Roselia.”
He spun around and approached from behind her. Cedric’s voice tickled Roselia’s ear. Roselia shrunk her neck and turned her head towards him.
“Duke Kant’s daughter, Annie, I want you to take care of her.” A Duke’s daughter, no wonder.
I thought the atmosphere from that woman was unusual. Roselia nodded and gave strength to ehr fingers as she tried to get away from him.
She could feel Cedric’s eyes from her back, but she couldn’t tell whether he was looking at her or the Young Lady, who she was slowly stretching on the canvas.
An hour passed, and Roselia lowered her shoulders, which had been burdened by her. I was so tense that my shoulder muscles were aching. When she was working on the portrait, Cedric, who used to go back to his office and do government affairs, stayed here today for some reason. It was more difficult to work than usual, as she was feeling constantly conscious of his gaze.
Cedric, who was sitting on the sofa in the corner, took out his pocket watch, checked the time and got up.
“Don’t proceed further today. How much have you progressed?”
“Now that I have finished the sketch, I think I can finish it all by myself.”
Cedric glanced over the canvas with an annoyed gaze. It was like an inspection. Roselia put her hands together neatly, acting like a student turning up her assigned for a confirmation.
“…I haven’t seen the finished version yet, but I think she’ll like it.”
Roselia smiled brightly at his complement, then Cedric gave her a gentle smile. After stroking her hair a couple of times, Cedric turned toward the Young Lady without hesitation. Her mood that had been on the upswing a while ago began to slide down on a whim as he moved away.
Roselia looked at Cedric politely reaching out to the Young Lady.
